Neil was admitted as a solicitor in 1975 having completed articles in the City of London. He became a partner with the firm in 1977 before retiring as senior partner at the end of 2009. He now works as a consultant for the firm. Neil specialises in Business Development, Commercial, and Conveyancing matters. He is a Trustee of a number of local Charities and is clerk to Elizabeth Eman's Trust (a well known local Charity).

He belongs to the Aylesbury Rotary Club and is a lifetime member of the Aylesbury Sailing Club.
